Why

Fall 2008, I put my education major on the side and decided to round out my understanding of the world. For two straight years, I had taken classes specifically designed to help me teach in a primary grade school classroom. Most of my ideas come from the ground up; I am taking a selfish approach and searching for ecology issues within arms reach. My knowlede of childhood development too will have a heavy influence on most of the art you see here.

My understanding of ecology and art are highly elementary so all the proposals you find on these pages are works in progress. It's been great to use my creative energies to find ways to communicate to others. The themes of my art are based on Starhawk's "The Earth Path" and are developed through discussion with Beverly Naidus and my fellow classmates at the University of Washington Tacoma campus.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions regarding any of the proposals found here. I would like to work with others to have a presentable final product. I believe through collaboration, we could bring these pieces to life and that they can have a positive effect on bringing balance to the earth.

This is the start of me being an active part of the world around me.
